Parking will be available and we will provide transportation to and from the airport. If you are flying to Montreal and overnight at this hotel they will provide you with free shuttle service. Telephone them upon arrival at the airport (use the courtesy phone).

   ACCOMODATION IN SCHEFFERVILLE

Our package includes your over night at our bunkhouse. Should you require a hotel room please notify us and we will make the necessary reservations at your cost.

You can also purchase fishing tackle, beer, liquor and cigarettes in Schefferville. Fishing, small game (ptarmigan) and bear licences can be purchased at our base if you are interested in these species.

   WEATHER

We recommend you have clothing in layers as our weather could change at least four times per day. August hunts could go as high as 75 degrees during the day and freezing at night. Beginning of September till the middle could be as warm as 60 degrees during the day and well below freezing at night. From then till the end of the hunt you could expect fall temperatures, cold, snow, winterly conditions. A good quality rain suit is a must.

  TIPS

In our experience, it is customary to give your guide and cook a tip. These tips vary with the performance of the employee and of course what you can afford. However, many clients ask what is the norm, so they will better know how much money to bring with them. Cook's tips are usually around $50.00 and guide $100.00 per person. Of course this practise is left to your discretion.

   HAVE A NICE TRIP!

A JACK HUME ADVENTURE'S representative will meet you upon your arrival at the Schefferville airport. We realise you could have chosen other outfitters and appreciate your choice to hunt with us. If you have any questions about your trip please do not hesitate to contact us.

All of us at Jack Hume Adventures wish you a pleasant trip with good hunting and fishing.
